Thank you do much for another great year! We had a lot of fun and success on Saturday. We are working on numbers and will report them once we know!
We are excited that we have had such good interest in this year's shirt. We are going to make another order, but need an idea of how many and sizes! We are looking at $15 (plus shipping if needed). Let us know if you want one!!

First we want to thank you for supporting our 5th Putting for Parkinson’s Event!
We have been working hard to put together an event that you will enjoy and want to come back to next year. If you have paid for them, we put Dinner and Auction Tickets in the mail today. Please make sure to bring your ticket(s) with you to limit any confusion when you arrive. As a golfer, you do not need a ticket since you will come straight from the course. Please don’t forget to call Debbie and pay if you haven’t done so already. For our golfers, I want to remind you of several options you have the day of the tournament. As noted in the Information Packet, you will have the option to purchase a Golfer Package (2 Mulligans, 1 Hole-in-One Entry, and 1 Raffle ticket) for a $20 donation or a Junior Golf Package (1 Mulligan and 1 Raffle ticket) for a $10 donation, and a Hole-in-One Entry for a $5 donation. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased with donations of $5 for one or $20 for 5. We have some great raffle prizes again this year, including a Kindle Fire and an Orion Grill! We also will have Dixon Golf (http://www.dixongolf.com/) on one of the Par 3’s with their Dixon Golf Experience. For $10 (cash at the hole), you can participate in their Dixon Golf Challenge using one of their eco-friendly golf balls. Just for participating in the challenge, they will give you hundreds of dollars worth of prizes, and if you hit their ball onto the green, you get a sleeve of their eco-friendly balls! The added benefit for our event is that we will get a portion of the $10 participation fee. For our Dinner and Auction Guests. Don’t forget to bring your wallets to bid on the great items we have for our auction. We have restaurant gift certificates, tickets to local sporting events, artwork, trips, and more. We have items for everyone with low starting bids on up to starting bids in the thousands! Remember, we do take credit cards! Also, in case you missed it above, raffle tickets can be purchased with donations of $5 for one or $20 for 5. We have some great raffle prizes again this year, including a Kindle Fire and an Orion Grill! Again, thank you for supporting our event and the research being done on Parkinson’s at The Murray Center at MUSC! One last reminder, for everything mentioned above (except the Dixon Golf which is cash only at the hole), we will accept cash, check, and/or credit cards (MC, Visa, Amex) on Saturday. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you Saturday! We are excited to say that all our golfer spots are filled!! Thank you so much for the support. If you aren't getting to golf, please join us for the Dinner & Auction. We just ask that you let us know your coming. We have been getting some great items for the Auction and Raffle, so bring your wallets!
For our golfers: We sent out an email this afternoon confirming that you will be golfing. If you didn't provide us with an email, please do, so emails over the next week reach you! For some teams, we only had one email. So check with your other team members, or send us your email. We look forward to seeing all of you next week! Please let us know if you have any questions. Our own local Research Advocates Jay & Marilyn Phillips took the stage at the Merinoff Symposium, talking about their perspective on telemedicine. This technique can be a more encompassing and a better method of taking care of those with Parkinson's and other diseases. Thank you for your dedication to this cause and support of our event!!
http://molmed.org/merinoffstream We've said it before and we will continue to say it....Thank you for all the wonderful support!!
We are coming up to some time sensitive deadlines for sponsorships. We will be ordering shirts this week which means we need logos from all Tournament Champion Sponsor levels and up. We will continue to take sponsorships at these levels, but cannot guarantee your logo being on the shirts. For hole sponsorships, you have a little more time. We would love to see the number of hole sponsorships increase. If you are considering being a hole sponsor, let us know, but don't wait too long! Golfers, please fill out the Golfer Information Form (which can be downloaded from our Information Page) as soon as you know you are going to play and send in your money. We want to make sure you get to have the opportunity to join in on the fun this year! Please try to include all of your team's information on the form. Being from the South, we like to make sure we thank everyone for participating and supporting us! Remember, this event isn't just for golfers. If you are planning to join us just for the dinner and auction, don't forget to let us know. We want to make sure we have plenty of food and drinks for all to have a good time! We are looking forward to having an amazing day at the Golf Tournament, followed by a great time at the dinner and auction. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions about April 27th! April is Parkinson's Awareness Month! We appreciate all the support we get, but also want you to take the time to learn about Parkinson's. Parkinson's is a disease that affects the entire family, not just the person with Parkinson's.
According to Parkinsons.org: "An estimated 4-6 million people around the world suffer from Parkinson’s disease. In the United States, 50-60,000 new cases are diagnosed each year and approximately 1 million Americans currently live with PD. The Center for Disease Control rated complications from Parkinson’s disease as the 14th leading cause of death in the country. There is hope, however, as scientists make progress in identifying the best treatment options for patients." Some of the scientists that are making that hope are right here in the Lowcountry at The Murray Center. The proceeds from our event go to support their efforts in finding better treatments and ultimately a cure. Please take some time to look over our website to see how you can help make a difference with us! Also, take a few minutes to watch us on Lowcountry Live. http://www.abcnews4.com/video?autoStart=true&topVideoCatNo=default&clipId=8728404 |
